If you think that Photoshop is all about image editing, think again! Photoshop’s text tools can be used to create some really awesome effects.

Although they say a picture is worth a thousand words, when it comes to working with text, typeface is everything. In this webinar Elaine will explore the world of styles, effects and fonts in Photoshop as well as showing you how to save your settings for reuse.

What do Walt Disney, Angela Lansbury and Harry Potter have in common? Nothing to do with films in this case but everything to do with fonts. They were the inspiration for 3 fonts that Elaine used in her demonstrations. To see how she used them, you’ll have to watch the recording (see below)

Elaine really did wow us this month with some brilliant examples of using text in Photoshop. Choosing the right font is key. If you don’t get that right, you might as well not bother – and to that end she gave us quite a few links to places where you can get fonts. She also talked about font management.

It wasn’t all Photoshop though… this little app (Wordify) , lets you create some great text effects – like this one of Steve Jobs

Watch the recording – you won’t regret it!
